Introducing Dr. Fill

Dropped a Vault loop in, had a fill I actually kept within a minute — no menu diving, no manual. The two-bar preview with your own groove is the feature I didn't know I needed, because you hear the fill in context before you commit. It's become the last step of every drum edit I do.

The Producer fills are the surprise here. I would never have programmed a reverse sweep into the downbeat myself, but Dr. Fill built one from my own loop and it ended up in the final mix. Nothing sounds pasted on because it's literally made of your track.

MIDI export mapped straight to Superior Drummer 3 with zero remapping — every hit landed on the right pad. I run fills as audio in the demo and switch to MIDI when the song gets serious, and both roads just work. Worth it for the export options alone.

I use it standalone on my own field recordings as much as I use it inside Ableton. Same loop, 72 different answers, and the WAVs come out at whatever sample rate my session is in. It's the most flexible drum tool on my machine right now.

Fills used to be the part of the track I'd put off for weeks. Now it's genuinely the fun part — audition a handful, drag the winner in, done in five minutes. My last three uploads all have Dr. Fill somewhere in them.
