Dr. Fill - The Drum Fill Creator Plug-In

Every phrase deserves an answer. Drop in a bar and Dr. Fill writes the fill — built entirely from the sounds of your own loop. Same kit, same room, same hands. Nothing foreign gets added. Infinite ways to answer the bar you already have.

How it works

1. Give it some groove. Capture audio straight off a DAW track, drop in any loop, or browse the built-in Vault library.
2. Get the diagnosis. Dr. Fill reads tempo, feel, and swing, then cuts your loop into its voices — kick, snare, hat, and everything else in there.
3. Pick the prescription. Seventy-two fills across two families — Drummer and Producer — each one played back as a two-bar phrase: your groove, then the answer, in context.
4. Drag it out. WAV straight onto your timeline at 44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96 kHz — or export MIDI mapped for Superior Drummer, Groove Agent (Cubase), Addictive Drums 2, Slate Drums, BFD, General MIDI, and more.

Create Any Fill You Need

Sometimes you already know exactly what the bar needs — you just don't have it yet. So tell Dr. Fill. Type it out the way you'd say it to a drummer: "a big Bonham-style tom roll into the chorus," "a tight 16th-note snare build, last two beats only," "a Stewart Copeland thing with the hats and a snare." Dr. Fill turns your words into an endless run of options, every one rendered from the hits in your own loop, every one auditioned in context against your groove. Don't love the first batch? Ask again, or nudge the description — "busier," "half as long," "more kick" — and the suggestions keep coming, as many as you want. It never runs out before you find the one that fits, so the fill you're hearing in your head is the fill that ends up in the session.

Does it work offline? Yes. Activate once, then Dr. Fill never needs the internet to run — made for studios that stay disconnected. No dongles, no iLok.

How many machines? Three, with self-serve deactivation.

Do I need a Vault membership? No — the $49 license is yours forever, fully functional on your own audio. Membership adds catalog fills (and includes the plugin itself).

Can I try it first? Yes — the free download builds and auditions the full range of fills on the included starter grooves and your own loops. Only exporting requires activation.
