About Ben Aylon and One Man Tribe:
Percussion virtuoso Ben Aylon gained national recognition in Senegal after appearing on popular TV shows with his solo performance "One Man Tribe". Inspired by his teacher, drumming legend Doudou Ndiaye Rose and the Senegalese tradition, Ben created an innovative, hybrid drumming style and technique, which capsules the massive sound of a tribe of drummers into a one-man-show performance.

Playing ten Senegalese drums simultaneously as a drum kit, Ben drives traditional Senegalese drumming into new advanced territories. His fresh approach has earned him recognition from Senegal's leading drummers and the worldwide percussion community.

His popularity in Senegal led to musical collaborations and meetings with major artists like Cheikh Lo and Youssou Ndour. Through these collaborations, he produced his debut album, "Xalam", presenting his compositions on the 'Xalam', a Senegalese string instrument. Released on Riverboat Records, the album received a 5-star rating and won Best Album 2021 by the prestigious Songlines Magazine.
